Chapter Seventeen

Megan

My insides were still shaking, and my legs were pressed together as I sat beside my client. How did my morning go from reclaiming my dignity and returning home to begging Jordan to have sex with me?

He was my biggest fantasy and worst nightmare all rolled into one hard to resist package.

I don’t know how he managed it, but I arrived before the judge and he didn’t have a hair out of place as he wandered through the corridors of the judicial building as if he owned the place. He drew attention everywhere he went, but as in the past, he never seemed to notice the covert looks or the flirtatious gestures thrown in his direction. It had been the same in the Twilight Rooms with subs trying to catch his attention. He tended to concentrate on his phone or on those accompanying him.

A sinking feeling set in that I was about to be rehomed considering he told me he’d see me after court earlier. Even my client had gawked at him when he waved and flashed a smile while leaving. I was in over my head and had no way to escape.

We got everything that my client wanted, including her beloved dog, but my mind had wandered constantly during the court hearing, the most forefront problem being Jordan and what to do about him. When he was in the Twilight Rooms, he was a naughty fantasy. That fantasy had stepped out of the pages of one of my erotic reads and into the real world, and now I had no clue how to cope.

We’d bumped into each other in the Midnight Rooms regularly and he never left me unsatisfied, but this morning took everything to a different level.

I had said goodbye to my client and was walking toward the tube station when a solid frame stepped in my path and I almost fell on my ass.

“Could you not have just texted me when you were finished?” Jordan asked.

“Texted you?” He was seriously affecting my brain because I stared up at him in confusion.

“I put my number into your phone,” Jordan said. “I told you that I’d see you after court.”

“I was going back to work.”

Jordan sighed. “We’ll go past your apartment and collect your stuff and I’ll drop you off at your office.”

“Jay…” His eyebrow rose in the way that made the inner sub in me cower and want to obey. “I can’t do this.”

The fingers of his left hand linked through the fingers of my right hand. “Sure you can. Packing is simple. We’ll start with a week or two, so you know what you’ll need. My housekeeper tends to get all my stuff dry cleaned, so you don’t need to worry about any of that. She’s very discreet.”

He deliberately misunderstood me. “That’s not what I meant.”

“Cassandra needs her best friend and I need to ensure you’re safe. It’s a win-win situation.”
